Chief Executive Officer
Danny Cox
Prior to the establishment of City Trust, Danny was the managing director of Fortis Intertrust in Ireland and he was a key figure in negotiating the buy-out from Fortis in 2007. He originally worked for Fortis in the UK and the Isle of Man having started in their corporate tax department in 1997 dealing with both UK and Irish taxation.
He transferred to Dublin in 2001 to take on a more client-focused role and was appointed a director in 2002. Since moving to Dublin, Danny has gained great experience in all aspects of the Dublin financial services industry and has been particularly involved in cross border and international transactions.
He has been very proactive in educating International clients on the benefits of using Ireland in their global corporate strategy, including the locating of holding companies in Ireland, loan financing, securitisation and other structured finance transactions. He is viewed by a number of independent Irish advisors as being a leader in his field in respect of the promotion of Ireland Inc and Foreign Direct Investment in to Ireland.
Danny holds a First Class Business Degree, he is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland, the Irish Taxation Institute and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
In addition, he holds postgraduate diplomas in both Applied Finance Law and Commercial Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
Head of Client Services
Michael Treacy
Prior to the establishment of City Trust, Michael had worked for a number of years previously with both Fortis Intertrust and IFG.
Michael is a certified accountant and has over ten years experience in the Irish financial services industry.
During the past six years he has been involved in fiduciary management, prior to which he worked for five years in corporate finance dealing with mergers and acquisitions. He has vast experience in all areas of corporate services including accountancy, taxation, banking and company secretarial management.
Michael also holds a B.Comm (Hons) from UCD.
Head of Accounting
Niamh McCarthy
Niamh joined City Trust in March 2013 to head up the accounting department.
Niamh qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007 with a medium-sized practice, and gained further experience in banking, completing a Professional Diploma in Financial Advice in 2013.
Since starting her career Niamh has gained substantial experience of many different types of companies spread across various sectors and has proficient knowledge in relation to the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practice in Ireland. She has completed a Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards and advises on all aspects of accounting and financial modelling.
