Danny Cox

Prior to the establishment of City Trust, Danny was the managing director of Fortis Intertrust in Ireland and he was a key figure in negotiating the buy-out from Fortis in 2007. He originally worked for Fortis in the UK and the Isle of Man having started in their corporate tax department in 1997 dealing with both UK and Irish taxation.

He transferred to Dublin in 2001 to take on a more client-focused role and was appointed a director in 2002. Since moving to Dublin, Danny has gained great experience in all aspects of the Dublin financial services industry and has been particularly involved in cross border and international transactions.

He has been very proactive in educating International clients on the benefits of using Ireland in their global corporate strategy, including the locating of holding companies in Ireland, loan financing, securitisation and other structured finance transactions. He is viewed by a number of independent Irish advisors as being a leader in his field in respect of the promotion of Ireland Inc and Foreign Direct Investment in to Ireland.

Danny holds a First Class Business Degree, he is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, a member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland, the Irish Taxation Institute and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

In addition, he holds postgraduate diplomas in both Applied Finance Law and Commercial Law from the Law Society of Ireland.
